Guided mountain biking in Alicante

Last week, I had the pleasure of providing a day of guided mountain biking in Alicante for a client from Holland.  He was on holiday with his family in the coastal resort of Elche, and wanted to include a day of mountain biking in his plans.  We´d arranged to meet in  Banyeres de Mariola, a historical village in the hills of the Sierra de Mariola.  Although just 45 minutes drive from Alicante, it´s rural location and stunning scenery make it feel as if it could be a World away.  The area offers some fabulous cross country mountain biking as well [read more]

Mountain Biking Near the City of Valencia

Last weekend we provided a day of guided mountain biking for a couple of returning clients. They were enjoying a short break in this vibrant Mediterranean city and wanted to enjoy a day of guided mountain biking near the city of Valencia. Although a coastal city, one of its many advantages is its proximity to the mountains. Today´s route was in the Sierra de Calderona, a designated Natural Park within very easy reach of Valencia. Having collected my clients from their city centre hotel, within just 35 minutes we were unloading the bikes from the van and beginning our route. [read more]

Mountain Biking Holidays in Valencia

This week was special for me.  Not just because we enjoyed some great trails, new routes and fantastic Spring weather, but because I spent the week with two long standing clients who have since become friends.  Scott and Alain live in Montreal, Canada and this was the third time in three years that they have visited us for their mountain biking holidays in Valencia. A few weeks before their trip, we discussed various options and designed a bespoke holiday for them.  This included a return to the mountains of La Safor for the first few days of their trip. The second [read more]

On our first day of biking I collected them from their hotel and we made the short journey south to the region of La Safor.  After a coffee stop and the usual safety [read more]

Mountain Biking in Xativa, Valencia

Last week, I had the pleasure of welcoming new clients Tina and Dennis, experienced and fit mountain bikers from Denmark. They were staying in the beautiful and historical town of Xativa, an increasingly popular destination for those looking to combine active and cultural tourism. Xativa, the birthplace of both Spanish Popes, and the first place in Europe to produce paper, is located just 50 minutes by train from Spain´s third city, Valencia. We began our mountain bike trip from the heart of the historic centre of Xativa, riding out of town and immediately joining a great trail that took us [read more]
