MOUNTAIN BIKING VALENCIA REACHES THE END OF THE TRAIL.

After five amazing years of providing guided mountain biking from Valencia, I´ve made the extremely difficult decision to bring the business to a close in order to focus on other projects and activities.

To work as a guide and instructor has been a pleasure, made all the more special by the people that I have met along the way.  The memories of some fabulous days will remain forever.

Especially gratifying have been the clients who have returned, and have since become friends.  To enjoy good company amongst stunning scenery whilst doing a sport that you love is one of life´s true luxuries.

It was a fitting end to enjoy my final three days with one such client who´s returned each year, and with whom I´ve enjoyed some fabulous days.

So, whilst I´m certain it´s a logical and sensible decision, it´s still a tough one.  I´d like to extend my sincere thanks to all those who have given me the pleasure of riding the trails of Valencia, who have supported my efforts from beginning to end  and who have made the past five years of my life so deeply enjoyable.

With very best wishes,

Dave Warrington.

One Week Bespoke Mountain Bike Holiday

I´ve just come to the end of a fantastic week with a client who has long since become a friend and has just completed her 4th trip with me in as many years.  Birgit, from Germany first booked a few days of guided mountain biking back in 2012 as a beginner.  Since then, she´s returned each year for a full week of guided XC mountain biking, has formed a regular group of bikers in Germany, has recently bought her second bike and is now an experienced and accomplished mountain biker. A few months ago, we discussed the possibilities for this year´s trip.  She wanted some slightly more demanding routes, maybe to see a new area, surely to spend a day or two in the beautiful Sierra de Espadan (a remote mountainous region north of Valencia) and to stay in rural or semi-rural locations. So, with all of that in mind [read more]

Mountain biking in Valencia for a returning client

Last week I was delighted to provide some guidied mountain biking in Valencia for a returning client.  Damian from UK completed a skills course with us three years ago, then returned to Valencia last year to do some guided cross country mountain biking. His skills and fitness have further improved so I´m delighted to say that he recently returned for his third trip, this time looking for longer and more challenging rides. We arranged two days in the Sierra de Calderona, a Natural Park within easy reach of Valencia. Day 1 was a long cross country ride on the north side of the Sierra, a route of some 35kms, almost all off-road and with a total of more than 11000 metres of climbing.  The weather was beautiful, very warm for November even by local standards.  The route took in some big climbs, a remote hill farming village and a long [read more]
