Bespoke Guided Mountain Bike Trips in the Beautiful Mountains and Countryside of Valencia.

MountainBikingValencia is based in the beautiful Mediterranean coastal city of Valencia, Spain. We provide private guided mountain bike trips for individuals, couples, small groups and families.  Our trips are designed around the wishes, abilities and needs of our clients and our philosophy of never mixing groups guarantees a bespoke trip and top level of personal service.

Our approach is what makes us different…

Our business model is unlike that of most professional guiding companies. Our approach is not simply to sell holidays purely dedicated to mountain biking. Instead, we provide our services on a much more flexible basis, giving the client the opportunity to design their own holiday or simply to enjoy a day with us.

For example, if you´d like a holiday with a group of friends that would comprise a full week of guided mountain bike tours, that can be easily arranged. Alternatively, if you are planning on spending some time in our area of Spain, and quite fancy a day or two biking as part of your holiday, that is just as easy to organise. Therefore, by being totally flexible and listening to your requirements, we can tailor our services to ensure that you gain maximum enjoyment without having to commit to a biking only holiday that may not suit all the members of your party or family.

We are proud to be be “Recommended” on Trip Advisor.  You can read client reviews here.

One Week Bespoke Mountain Bike Holiday

I´ve just come to the end of a fantastic week with a client who has long since become a friend and has just completed her 4th trip with me in as many years.  Birgit, from Germany first booked a few days of guided mountain biking back in 2012 as a beginner.  Since then, she´s returned each year for a full week of guided XC mountain biking, has formed a regular group of bikers in Germany, has recently bought her second bike and is now an experienced and accomplished mountain biker. A few months ago, we discussed the possibilities for this year´s trip.  She wanted some slightly more demanding routes, maybe to see a new area, surely to spend a day or two in the beautiful Sierra de Espadan (a remote mountainous region north of Valencia) and to stay in rural or semi-rural locations. So, with all of that in mind [read more]

Mountain biking in Valencia for a returning client

Last week I was delighted to provide some guidied mountain biking in Valencia for a returning client.  Damian from UK completed a skills course with us three years ago, then returned to Valencia last year to do some guided cross country mountain biking. His skills and fitness have further improved so I´m delighted to say that he recently returned for his third trip, this time looking for longer and more challenging rides. We arranged two days in the Sierra de Calderona, a Natural Park within easy reach of Valencia. Day 1 was a long cross country ride on the north side of the Sierra, a route of some 35kms, almost all off-road and with a total of more than 11000 metres of climbing.  The weather was beautiful, very warm for November even by local standards.  The route took in some big climbs, a remote hill farming village and a long [read more]

    Mountain Bike Skills Course

Last weekend I provided a day of guided mountain biking for a client from the Netherlands.  Rob had spent a couple of weeks in Valencia at an academic summer school for environmental technology and initiatives, and wanted to use one of his free days to develop his mountain biking skills. He´d recently bought a new bike back in Holland and wanted to learn some fundamental riding techniques.  Accordingly we designed a day that would combine a guided xc route with a fairly intense mountain bike skills course. After the obligatory morning coffe, during which we discussed the aims and objectives of the day, we began on a section of singletrack, where we focussed on trail reading and line selection. We then had a session on safe descending on rocky ground, including a few rock steps.  Rob was making good progress, and was riding confidently but very safely and with great [read more]
